There are thousands of arguments that can be made in favour of a hereditarian perspective on race and IQ. And they are made. Academia has covered them all again and again. Its been done to death. Outside of academia, no one really knows anything about it. The media ignores it.
Its not necessary to cover every angle. All the arguments explaining how adoption studies prove IQ is genetic, how IQ tests are accurate and predictive of life outcomes, how race differences in IQ can’t be put down to sampling bias, test cultural bias, socioeconomic factors, systemic racism, stereotype thread, trauma of colonisation etc etc are not necessary. No one cares.
For the sake of convenience and simplicity, lets focus on Whites and Blacks. If you want to prove that there are intelligence differences between races, and that these differences are partly genetic, all you need are these 3 facts:
Blacks have scored lower than Whites on IQ tests since their invention.
Blacks have smaller craniums than Whites since they have been measured.
Every Black neighbourhood on Earth is underdeveloped.
That’s it. That’s all you need.
Anyone who continues to deny the role of genetics is being disingenuous. Everything they say will be an attempt to obfuscate and distract.
They don’t want to agree, because their life strategy is to promote equality. They promote equality because they have a low hunter-gatherer fitness level, and our psychology is still linked to our ancestral past. In their mind, their survival counts on not agreeing with you. Logic will never ever work.
I am not trying to turn this into a “race-realist” blog. I hardly ever talk about race because I try to spread new theories, and everything about race has already been discussed. I am just making the point that academics are not achieving anything anymore. They are preaching to the choir. They are flogging a dead horse.
Pretty good summary. Hard to argue with someone who thinks agreeing with your point implies an existential threat. However, I’ve never considered the IQ debate in that fashion. For me, it’s really finding the best use (life situation) for every individual in society and the efficient use of societal resources, which are by definition always in short supply.
For example, currently our ideology of equality/equity directs waay too many folks into an academic pathway. The result is not only failure (example: 30% of college loan recipients have obtained no degree), but also the lowering of standards for admission via AA and graduation via faux disciplines like the myriad of Grievance Studies programs.
How can we justify having damn near 40% of the population attending some form of post secondary education? What’s a university for if not to select and perfect the best of our populace. Sounds a lot like “Lake Wobegon” of Garrison Keillor fame—except that he played this for a quick laugh. Our education is no laughing matter, even if it is a “joke”. :-(
